GRANDMA HOOT’S! …

Here at Broken Road Radio we’re big on sharing the good things of life …faith, family, and food for example. Both David and I like to cook and to eat, and so we’re particularly alert to  finds involving incredible edibles and, every now and then, we run across something deliciously different from some small, hitherto little-known company with a heart for doing what’s right and good and healthy. We’ll try the product and, if it really wows us, we’ll share it with you and provide a link where you can learn more about it and, should you choose, to make a purchase. We do this with the full knowledge and consent of the companies involved and, in most cases, Broken Road Radio will receive a small commission if and when you buy. Just  tell ’em Broken Road sent you, and let us know what you think when you try ’em. Here’s our latest Incredible Edible recommendation …Grandma Hoot's ApricotGrandma Hoot Products is based in Florence, Montana just a bit south of Missoula. Keith and Joyce Previte are the proprietors and they’ve concocted a number of wonderfully zippy flavors in a variety of products, one of which was brought to our attention by my son’s batch of birthday goodies sent to his old Dad. The box contained a precious jar of Grandma Hoot’s Apricot Habañero Jam. Now each of their products harbors a little taste of Texas where Joyce was born and raised. Her memories of the things her Grandma Hoot cooked up have inspired these creations and a serendipitous bumper crop of fresh apricots started Joy’s creative wheels turning again. This wonderful apricot-habañero jam was the result. Try it on an English muffin slathered over the top of some organic almond butter, or use it as a flavoring in your favorite sauce for sautéed chicken, pork chops or salmon. If you order some, please enter the words BROKEN ROAD in the box for the promotional code.
