Broken Road Radio is an old, familiar flavor of radio, much closer to what you may remember listening to on the radio if you tuned in during the 60’s, except we’re grownups now. Here you’ll enjoy the music of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, both sacred and popular. We play newer music, too, but we’re downright picky about it. We throw in an occasional mental meander now and then just to see if you’re paying attention, and we’re not shy about offering a little encouragement and inspiration, either. We’re not here to teach. We’re here to listen and learn right along with you. We’re about depth, not dogma. This is radio for grownups. We’re glad you found us!
A wise man named Paul once wrote: “You were all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, so stay together, both outwardly and inwardly. You have one Master, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all. Everything you are and think and do is permeated with Oneness.” (The Message, Ephesians 4:4-6)
The “Broken Road” is meant as an allegory for life itself, strewn with the dead ends and wrong turns of youth, its travelers eventually brought to a place where they look earnestly for real answers to their largest questions. Broken Road Radio is dedicated to edifying and entertaining thoughtful adults with an engaging presentation of Christian teaching, discussions of both sacred and secular subject matter—including news and current events—and with music distinguished by its variety, depth of lyric, beauty and positive character. We feature both sacred and secular music from across many genres, all day and every day.
