“Bible Alive” is a multimedia contextual experience conducted by Doug Greenwold of Preserving Bible Times, a faith-based teaching ministry near Washington, D.C. Hosted by Lakewood Evangelical Free Church in Baxter, the two sessions will be conducted on the evening of Friday, April 5th, and the morning of Saturday, April 6th. The purpose is to orient you to the historical, geographical and cultural context of Scripture, imparting to you an understanding much like that of the audience for whom it was originally written – the Jewish agrarian villager.
It has often been said that “the land is the fifth Gospel”. Doug, who is a frequent visitor to Israel, uses maps, still photos and DVD video of the Holy Land to let you experience the sacred sites, the dusty paths, the archaeology and historic vistas of the “land of milk and honey”, providing you with a virtual feet-on-the-ground experience, the next best thing to being there. Come, and you will never read the Bible the same way again!
This event is open to all who are interested.
Cost is $25 per person.
