Thanks John for your comment. I am not saying that God’s creation has been there forever. Clearly from Genesis everything in the universe had a beginning and was created in 6 literal days. The point was that some cosmologist are now saying that the universe could not have arisen from the Big Bang but it looks like the stars and galaxies were just placed there. Some are saying perhaps it has been there forever, which of course, I do not agree. What is similar to the Genesis account is that God spoke it into existence, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens…”, Gen 1:14 perhaps giving the appearance that they had been there. I can imagine that when He spoke not only did he form the stars but placed them in galaxies, and arranged some of the galaxies into clusters just like we see today. Similar to how he formed the plants, animals and finally man – fully formed, fully functional, right where they needed to be. But indeed, all had a beginning, and because of sin, all will have a physical end.
I hope this helps clarify this for you and perhaps other listeners as well. Thank you for pointing out the possible misunderstanding.
At about 11:40 you say, “He spoke it into existence as if it has been there all along.”
So either creation means it came into being then, or as you say, it means it was always there. It truly means God brought into existence what was never there before. That fits throughout scripture. If you want to join materialists to feel comfy, you do that, I won’t. What you’re saying does not fit with the laws of thermodynamics either. Looks like Creation Moments should be called Creation Compromises.
